Querido, México

I find inspiration by looking into my heritage, thinking about the indigenous people in Mexico and what they value and practice in order to continue their lifestyles. Thinking about ways in which not only growing up with two cultures has shaped me to be who I am, but also thinking about growing up in Miami being close to the ocean and the tropical setting has inspired me to make my search for identity an important part of my work. Being from both countries I often feel like I don't know where to belong and find myself having a blended culture. Fashion is a means to flesh out your own identity and it also gives me a means to connect with my audience ,who also identifies with multiple cultures, and makes them feel seen.
